Telephone Support Line Operators
15 hours, all out of hours (afternoons, evenings and weekends from 2pm) – £17.145 per annum pro rata

The Support Line provides support for individuals living with mental health difficulties. Our team listen unconditionally with respect and empathy.  They give support and advice, from immediate anxiety reducing techniques, to communicating in a way to empower and allow issues and problems to be seen from potentially different perspectives. Staff also actively sign post and act as a great source of information highlighting what other services are available in Norfolk and Norwich.

This is a rewarding role and ideally suited for anyone looking to work in the afternoons, evenings and weekends. By the very nature of poor mental health, an individual’s difficulties can often intensify in the darker hours and at times when a person feels more isolated and alone.  Experience of working in a mental health setting is advantageous, however all successful applicants will be provided with full training and regular supervision.  Our vision is of a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all and one that treats people with experience of mental distress fairly, positively and with respect.

20% enhancement is paid for unsocial hours worked between 22:00 – 07:00.

Rapid Response Support Worker  – £17,955 –  37.5 hours

The successful candidate will support people with mental health problems living in the community, by having a positive impact on their lives and enabling them to develop their full potential.  Applicants need to have a good knowledge of mental health and positive wellbeing and have an understanding of the issues that arise in supporting clients to live independently.   Having an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care would be an advantage.

We will provide an excellent training programme including our 2 day Mind Mental Health First Aid course. The successful candidate must also have a driving licence and their own car. The role itself is predominately fulfilled between Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm and does not require shift or weekend working.  Traveling time between client visits is included within working hours and we currently pay a rate of 0.45p per mile for traveling expenses. Expenses for sundries when visiting clients is also fully paid

Full supervision and clinical advice from the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust will be given to ensure that all service users are provided with rapid and effective support.

Bank Support Workers

We are looking for bank support workers to join our friendly team in our mental health residential service, Omnia. We aim to help bring change, provide emotional safety and the development of trust.  Omnia provides recovery focused support to enable people to reach their full potential with their personal recovery. We are committed to ensuring every interaction with a person who accesses our service helps develop relationships and provides an environment where they feel they can follow their interests and goals. Omnia is a well-respected service which from 1st April 2017 has been awarded 5 years funding to provide a service that is safe, consistent and effective in recovery focused practice.

Applicants need to have a good knowledge of mental health and positive wellbeing and have an understanding of the issues that arise in supporting clients to move towards living independently.  We will provide an excellent training programme including our 2 day Mind Mental Health First Aid course, Recovery Training and workshops to ensure we provide a dynamic ‘team’ approach, 8 weekly supervision and innovative client co-production with our recovery and social programme.  Hours of work are on a as and when basis and will include shift work: days, evenings, nights and weekends.
