YOUR PRIVACY

We recognise that you will need reassurance about your privacy when receiving support from us.  Your right to confidentiality will be respected and any information we keep about you will remain private. We can assure you that:

  • We will only ask you for information that enables us to provide you with the best possible care
  • If we need to store information about you then it will be done so securely (this means paper records are kept in a locked filing cabinet in a locked building). If the information we hold is in electronic form it will be encrypted, password protected and kept on a server in a secure location. Information we hold on you, whether it be paper based or electronic, will never be removed from our offices unless you agree to this
  • We will only share your information with people that you tell us in writing it is ok to share with. We will, however, share information within Norwich Mind if it will help improve our service to you
  • You will have the right to view any records we keep about you
  • We will not discuss your care with anyone unless you give us written permission for us to do so. The only exception is where we think you or someone else may be in imminent danger. However, we may listen to others who care about you or who have information that will help us improve our care to you
